Les Allcorn 10 K Memorial Race

Les was one of the founder members of Alnwick Harriers who died suddenly whilst
competing in the Beadnell to Alnmouth Coastal Run in 1995. The Les Allcorn
10 K Race is held in the beautiful grounds of Hulne Park in memory of Les.
The first race started and finished at the entrance gate
to Hulne Park and was run over tarmac and gravel roads within the park. The
start and finish have now moved into the park and the race is run over
virtually the same course as the first race.

Male: Les Atkinson (Morpeth) 1997. 31:59
Female: Sue Abbiss (Morpeth) 1998. 38:35
New course record
Male: Les Atkinson (Morpeth) 2000. 32:58
Female: Berverley Whitfield (Bingley) 2005. 38:15
Berverley took the record from Sandra Branney (Glasgow) who set the
previous record of 39:02 in 2000
