Druridge Bay Parkrun/Beeston Parkrun/Newcastle Parkrun/Workington Parkrun/Durham Parkrun/Keswick Mountain Festival 5k/Pier To Pier

There was a double for Alnwick Harriers at the Druridge Bay Parkrun on Saturday 21st May, thanks to Richard JOHNSON and Laura STUBBINGS! Richard was 1st across the line, well clear of the field, in a parkrun best time of 18.25. Laura completed the double by finishing in 22.14 for her 1st race victory! Also of note in-form Tim FALCONER ran yet another personal best time, Howard TAYLOR made his debut for us, John CUTHBERT ran a pb, Alex REED was 3rd female finisher and Pam WHELDON was 1st in the female 60 category.

Down in the Midlands there was another race win for the club, when Dan LENG narrowly won the Beeston Parkrun! Dan clocked a 5k pb to finish 1st in an impressive 17.32. Nearer to home it was great to see Rob ENSER back in a Harriers vest at Newcastle, whilst at Workington Richard EASTOE was 1st in the male 60 category.

Also that day, as part of the Keswick Mountain Festival, Stuart BRUCE was taking part in the 5k Trail Run. Stuart finished in 35.20 coming home in 135th.

The following day 2 Harriers were taking part in the scenic 7.5 mile Pier To Pier race between South Shields and Sunderland.
