Sheffield Hallam Parkrun/Darlington Parkrun/Druridge Bay Parkrun/Workington Parkrun/Wyre Forest Parkrun/Durham Parkrun/Brough Law Fell Race

Alnwick Harriers was represented in 6 different parkruns on the morning of Saturday 12th March, with the fastest coming courtesy of Isaac MOSS down at the Sheffield Hallam Parkrun. Isaac, currently studying in the city, crossed the line in 8th place in a very good 17.36. This time is just outside the best 5k by a Harrier this year, set recently by Steve CARRAGHER.

Another excellent time was achieved by Dominic HARRIS at the Darlington South Park event, where he clocked 18.35 to finish 16th.

Closer to home Peter MORALEE took part in his first event as a Harrier at the Druridge Bay Parkrun, where he duly finished 2nd in a brilliant 18.32. Next home was another male Harrier making his debut for is, Allan FOGGON in 17th place. Kim REDPATH. however, was 1st female finisher for us in a new 5k pb of 22.00. Alex REED was 1st in the female 45 category, whilst young Harrier Catherine JACKSON dipped under 25 minutes for the 1st time to score a personal best!

Elsewhere Gay and Richard EASTOE ran together at Workington where they both finished in 26.07, Kirsty STEED ran at Durham, whilst Tim SHEPHERD was in action at the Wyre Forest Parkrun in Worcestershire. Results:

The following day 6 Harriers took part in what is generally the first of the north east fell races of the season, the Brough Law Fell Race. There were some excellent performances, particularly from Graham SIMPSON who was 4th and Adam FLETCHER who was 6th and winner of the male 50 category. Results:
