Druridge Bay Parkrun/Newcastle Parkrun/Whitley Bay Parkrun/Workington Parkrun/Whitley Bay Junior Parkrun/Paxton House Cross Country

With the cancellation of the cross country a decent number of Harriers took part in the Druridge Bay Parkrun on Saturday 9th January. Closest to home Dominic HARRIS continued his eye catching improvement by finishing 2nd of 123 runners behind ex Harrier Mark COCKBURN. Just under a minute behind Dom in 4th place was Mark DOUGLAS. Also of note Justine NORMAN was 3rd female finisher, whilst Mel STEER and Mairi CAMPBELL made the debuts at he event. Results:

Also that morning Jim LILLICO had a good run at the Newcastle Parkrun, finishing 46th and winning the male 55 age category in the process. Kirsty STEED also ran at the Town Moor, whilst Stuart BRUCE took part in the Whitley Bay Parkrun. Over in Cumbria Richard and Gay EASTOE were age category winners (60) at Workington. Results:

The following day a number of our Juniors took part in the Whitley Bay junior Parkrun, a 2k run for 4-14 year olds. There were some excellent performances from our contingent with Ollie TELFER finishing 2nd of the 89 runners. Lauren BROWN was a brilliant 1st female finisher, whilst Harrison BROWN was 12th and Finlay TELFER a bit further back. Results:

Also on Sunday Adam FLETCHER once again represented us in the Borders Cross Country series, this time at Paxton House. Adam finished well up there again, 16th in 24.13, and was 2nd in the male 50 category.
