Ultra runner Andy STEPHENSON took part in the Hardmoors 30, un ultra trail race on the North Yorkshire coast on New Years Day. This toughie starts and finishes at Robin Hoods Bay, and takes in the sights of Whitby, Ravenscar and the Cleveland Way. Andy performed well to finish 117th of 213 finishers in 6.26.26. Well done Andy, a great start to the year for you!

The following day saw the official start of the 2016 Grand Prix with the first Druridge Bay parkrun of the year. A reminder that only Harriers who wear the club vest will qualify for points. Therefore top of the pile at this very early stage is Pauline AITCHISON! Well done to 1st Harrier Stephen COWELL who was first in the male 50 category, whilst David BARNES was 1st in the male 45 age group on what was a wet and windy morning at the event.
