Andy SQUIRES was the sole Harrier taking part in the Beacon Hill Fell Race at Rothbury on Thursday, 14th July. Andy finished 16th and 2nd in the male 45 category in a time of 1.00.22, in this 5.75 mile race with 1500 feet of ascent. Harriers Dave WISEMAN and Mike TELFER were representing Northumberland Fell Runners during the race, finishing 9th and 12th in 57.02 and 58.32. Dave won the male 45 category and Mike the male 40 category.
John ROSS took part in the Jesmond Dene Handicap Race 4 on the same evening. John finished in 32nd place in a time of 40.24, which includes his 5k time of 23.04 and his handicap of 17.20. Well done to John who has taken part in all four races in this series.
On Sunday, 17th July 3 Harriers took part in the BUPA Great North 10k in Gateshead. David NOLAN finished 242nd in 43.53, Brian SALT 436th in 46.10 and Annabel HOWE 890th in 50.25.
