ITU World Aquathlon Championships/Whitley Bay Parkrun/Whitehaven Harbour 5k/City of Stirling 10k

Many, many congratulations to Jo GASCOIGNE-OWENS, the best female Harrier ever, for becoming a world champion! On Wednesday 11th September Jo took part in the ITU Aquathlon World Championships at Hyde Park, London. Against a field of international athletes from as far away as Brazil, Canada, New Zealand the winner was from Alnmouth! Jo beat her nearest rival in this swim/run event by 7 seconds. Not a bad year for Jo with this, numerous race victories in Harriers colours, oh yeah and getting married!
