Anita Nott Womens Only Jesmond Dene Run/Bridges of the Tyne 5 Mile Road Race/South Lakes Half Marathon

9 Harriers took part in Heaton Harriers’ Anita Nott Womens Only Jesmond Dene Run on Monday 9th July. As in previous years the ladies ran together in this 5.4km race, an event run to commemorate Anita NOTT from Tynemouth who was knocked over by a car and killed whilst out running in 2006. Harriers results:

The following night 3 Harriers took part in relatively new club Tyne Bridge Harriers’ first ever race, the Bridges of the Tyne 5 Mile Road Race. Held in wet conditions Jim LILLICO was the star for the club taking 2nd place in the male 50 category. This was a well organised race in iconic surroundings and is bound to become a regular, popular eventĀ on the north east calendar. Harriers results:

On Sunday 8th July Gay and Richard EASTOE took part in the South Lakes Half Marathon, Allithwaite, Cumbria. Gay picked up the female 55 winners prize finishing in 45th place in 2.17.51. Richard finished in 46th in the same time.
