The Duergar Night Crawler

Report on the Grand Prix event by Tracey Sample, 29th February

Ten Harriers stood freezing on the start line of the Grand Prix event.
The bad weather route was enforced due to the high winds so shortened to “only” 9 miles over Simonside in borderline cancellation conditions.
Up on the top is was almost a white out and it was very hard to even see the path. It was still spectacular during the breaks in the weather, seeing the long line of head torches behind, winding their way up the path.
Jon Archer was first home in 6th place of the 200 men and 100 women taking part. He was just under 5 min behind the winner of the race. Just a minute further back was Ian Simon.
Stephen Cowell and Tracey Sample had a good battle, changing places on the up hill and down hill, with Tracey first female harrier home in 5th place in the Female race.
