Temple Park 5k/Druridge Bay Parkrun/South Shields Parkrun/Newcastle Parkrun/Hockley Woods Parkrun/Kielder Dark Skies

Lots and lots of Harriers were in 5k action over the weekend with the pick of the members once again being Rachelle FALLOON. Taking part in the Temple Park 5k at South Shields Rachelle obliterated her 5k pb and ran easily the fastest 5k by a female Harrier this year, a superb 19 minutes dead!

In the world of parkrun Carole PAGE was the first Harrier home at Druridge Bay in 21.11, just 1 second off her course best. Carole was 3rd female home and 26th overall. Just under a minute behind was Dave BARTRUM, whilst Junior Harrier James CARRAGHER was next in a very good 23.18. Also of note 2 other Juniors ran course bests, Thomas DAVISON and Cooper WILDE, whilst Steven SWEENEY ran his first race as a Harrier. Results:

In other events Phil LEE finished 302nd at Newcastle in 26.20, Ian McALLISTER was 71st in 26.44 at Hockley Woods in Essex, whilst Robert and Lorna STEPHENSON were in action at South Shields with Robert clocking 23.56 and mum Lorna 35.15.

Also that weekend two Harriers took part in the Dark Skies events at Kielder, organised by Trail Outlaws. Pauline AITCHISON was 1st of our pair in 2.12.01 to win the female 45 category! Also taking part was John ROBSON who completed the 14 miler in 2.46.50.
