On Saturday 18th January a decent number of Harriers turned out for the Druridge Bay Parkrun. The highlight for us was Rachelle FALLOON winning the ladies race in an excellent 19.41, the new fastest 5k of the year by a Harrier. Also amongst our ladies Carole PAGE was 3rd finisher and Mel STEER was 4th. For the men there was a decent battle between Tim FALCONER and David HINDMARSH which Tim won, whilst David HENDERSON was winner in the male 60 age group!

The following day Richard JOHNSON put in a storming performance to finish 22nd in a huge field at the Great North West half Marathon in Blackpool. Furthermore he ran a big personal best of 1.21.11 which is comfortably the quickest half marathon of the year by a Harrier. Well done Rich!!
Finally 5 Harriers were in action in the Border Trail Race, a brand new event organised by Glen McWILLIAMS. The 14 mile race starts at Kirk Yetholm and ends in Wooler, along the St Cuthberts Way. 1st home for us, despite a slight deviation from the course, was Graham SIMPSON. Just over 30 seconds behind was Adam FLETCHER, whilst 3rd finisher for us was Steve STUDLEY. Pauline AITCHISON and Mel STEER also took part and finished just over 2 minutes apart. Results:
