Three Harriers took part in the Heaton Harriers organised Town Moor Memorial 10k on Sunday, 13th November. Recent multi Druridge Bay Parkrun victor Steve CARRAGHER was 1st of our trio home in a brilliant 34.58. This saw him finish 20th overall and 2nd in the male 40 category. Dominic HARRIS, having his second race in 2 days, was 80th overall in 38.35, whilst Peter GREY was 97th in 39.23 and was 2nd in the male 55 age group.

We also had 3 Juniors representing the club in the 3km races. The Under 13s raced first with Millie BREESE finishing 7th girl in a time of 13.10. The Under 15s were next with Ollie TELFER finishing 9th overall in 11.16 and Max BREESE in 25th place in 12.34. The previous day there were some excellent performances at the Druridge Bay Parkrun. Dominic HARRIS stood on the start line eyeing up the opposition and was quietly confident of a first ever race win. However Carl AVERY turned up at the last minute which meant that Dom had to be content with 2nd place, which is still a superb performance! Next Harrier to finish was Vee POLLOCK who was having her first ever run at the event. Vee ran well to finish 11th overall and 2nd female in 20.54. Neil HAMILTON was 15th in a course best, whilst Event Director and regular helper Mark DOCTOR and Ruary SLATER scored course pbs. Also well done to the winner of the female 40 category Ruth DOCTOR who was having her first race since a high speed cycling accident 10 weeks ago.
