Later that afternoon Alnwick Juniors were out in force at the Glanton Show Hill Race with only one Senior runner foolish enough to take them on in this tough 3 mile out and back course starting and finishing in the show field. Harry BROWN was first home for Alnwick finishing 2nd Junior and an excellent 3rd overall. Mike TELFER finished 5th and even though he had earlier in the race tried to push Harry over into a bush in an attempt to slow him down, he was quick to respond and ran away quickly never to be seen again. Callie HENDERSON wasn’t far behind in 7th place with Lauren BROWN just behind her. Next home, wearing one shoe, was Ollie TELFER followed by Ellie HENDERSON, Sophie ENSER, Eve BUDDLE and Robert STEPHENSON. It was an excellent race which was well marshalled and good to see so many Juniors out on a lovely day!
