Druridge Bay Parkrun/Newcastle Parkrun/Sheringham Parkrun/Workington Parkrun/Gateshead Parkrun/Durham Parkrun/Friday Night 5k

There were some great performances by Harriers at a warm Druridge Bay Parkrun on Saturday 30th July. First Harriers to finish in 2nd overall and in a course best was Peter MORALEE, completing the 5k in 18.10. Next and winner of the male 50 category was Dave HINDMARSH. Carole PAGE ran her usual excellent race to clock 21.26 to finish 2nd female, whilst Angie EMBLETON was not far behind.

Away from the local event there were some good performances at other events that morning. Just down the road at Newcastle Dominic HARRIS and Dean STACKHOUSE both ran sub 20 minutes 5ks and finished inside the top 40 of the 460 competing. A particularly good effort by Dean after his torrid time at the Coastal Run last weekend. Phil HEMSLEY took part in the Sheringham Parkrun in Norfolk and finished 3rd, whilst Richard EASTOE was 1st in the male 60 age group at Workington. Gay EASTOE also ran at Workington, whilst Kirsty STEED was in action at Durham and Mark HUME at Gateshead. Results:

The night before Jordan ROGERSON travelled to South Tyneside to compete in the Friday Night 5k at South Shields. On a fast course Jordan ran well, finishing 42nd in a very good 18.27.
